Kathryn (Katie) Rapp, CLU®, LUTCF®

Life Product Consultant

Katie Rapp has been working in the insurance and financial services industry since 2002. In January 2005 Katie joined New York Life as an agent in the Columbus, Ohio General Office. During this time she was Rookie of the Year in 2005, New Org Agent of the Year in 2007 and a two-time Executive Council agent.

 

In March of 2008 she became the Development Manager of the Columbus General Office and the Senior Development Manager in the Fall of 2015. During this time she had the opportunity to mentor and develop 20 Development Managers in the South Central Zone. In March of 2020 Katie became a Life Product Consultant in the South Central Zone where she is focusing on helping agents design solutions for their clients, while also finding sales opportunities in their existing books of business.

 

Katie grew up in Bay Village outside of Cleveland, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University. She lives in Dublin, Ohio with her husband Lance and two sons, Hayden and Owen. In her free time Katie enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading and working out.

Scott Tagliareni

Investment Solutions Consultant

As an Investment Solutions Consultant, Scott Tagliareni works closely with agents and clients in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, conducting training workshops for registered representatives, working with them on case development, investment concepts and assisting with client meetings.  Scott is passionate about financial services and has a particular expertise in portfolio construction and retirement income strategies.

Scott has been in the financial services industry for over 18 years, starting his career at Smith Barney where he had responsibility for institutional bond trading, managed accounts and individual account management. Scott joined New York Life in 2005, working with the RIS Third Party Distribution team covering annuity investments within the Bank channel.  He was promoted to an associate wholesaler and traveled extensively in the field.  In 2009, Scott’s product responsibility was expanded to include both mutual funds and annuities while working with a mix of wire houses, independent and bank clients.

In 2010, Scott transitioned to the New York Life Agency channel working directly with the New York Life career agents, in both management and field roles.  One of Scott’s core beliefs is that an agent should be “client centric” and is someone that a client can rely on to guide them through all stages of their lives (not just parts).  In his current role, he is able to incorporate this belief when assisting agents with their practices. 

Scott and his wife, Brandy, live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and have two young daughters.  Originally from New Jersey, Scott is a fan of the New York Giants and the New York Rangers.

Corporate Vice President - Advanced Planning Consultant

Luke Robinson is a Corporate Vice President and Advanced Planning Consultant with New York Life Insurance Company, supporting agents in the South Central Zone.

Luke came to New York Life with over 20 years’ experience in insurance, financial, and legal services. He spent several years serving as a consultant where he created sophisticated life insurance-based solutions for advanced estate planning, business succession, and retirement matters. During that time, he also gained substantial knowledge of life insurance product features, advanced insurance strategies, and tax saving strategies lending to his impressive skillset. Prior to that, Luke practiced law in the areas of estate and business planning, real estate, and probate.

Luke obtained his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and a B.A. in History from the University of Minnesota. Luke has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation, and he holds Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations. Luke is admitted to the State Bar of Minnesota. As a New York Life employee, Luke does not provide legal or tax advice.

Don Hart joined New York Life in 2014 as an agent in the Norfolk General Office. He was an Executive Council qualifier and learned the business under several experienced agents. His clients came primarily from building a network of young professionals and business owners.

In April 2018, Don joined the Internal Life Consultant Team in the White Plains Sales Office. He loved empowering agents and finding the best solutions to complicated cases.

In April 2020, Don joined the Life Product Consultant Team. The campaigns he works with agents include mining through books of business; placing larger cases using advanced concepts; and offering a holistic perspective on client solutions.
